When do we work on FAC

Fire adapted communities work happens throughout the entire fire cycle (before, during, and after wildfire). It is important to remember that the work of wildfire adaptation is neither linear nor homogenous. Communities (or portions of communities) may be in a state of recovery while simultaneously preparing for, or responding to, another wildfire. It is important to think about the actions you need to take before, during and after to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from wildfire. Different partners may have different roles at different points in the cycle and recovery can often take years. Many actions, tools or resources make sense throughout the entire fire cycle (either for a whole community or for part of a community), so resources have not been segmented by “when.”
